Measuring the flow of the river is a big part of the project to identify sources of pollution along the Seaton Burn. Today, two more stage boards went into the Seaton Burn making 4 in total.
The 4 stage boards are all found close to paths near Seghill, Seaton Delaval and Holywell. Check out the map here!
These are used to measure depth of the water and once the amount of water flowing down the river is measured at different depths we get an idea of how much water flows down the river throughout the year. All we need is to record the depth regularly. This is where the community comes in! If you live close to or walk past the stage boards, no mater how occasionally, you can help us! We need help to record the measurement on these stage boards. See below or get in contact to get involved!
